NIE & Residence, Any foreigner who intends to buy a property, a car or open a bank account in Spain, must have a “Número de Identidad de Extranjero” (N.I.E.).
This document is obtained at the Foreigners’ Office and once obtained must be registered at the Tax Office. imont can apply for it on your behalf by means of a power of attorney and will register it once it has been obtained.
